News photographs of the preparation and 1961 opening of the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Images show grading and preparation of tracks at the museum site, moving locomotives into position, the shipment of a 1917 Army locomotive from Korea (with relevant telegrams and newsclippings), Native Americans at the ceremony, a school band, crowds, a banquet, details of engines, a steam excursion train from Milwaukee, and a fireman at work in a locomotive. Many of the photographs are by Lefebvre-Luebke of Green Bay. Eight additional photographs in PH 2337 made in 1961 primarily show interior views of the exhibits.
